Course Description
The Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is an initiative that recognizes employers who implement and maintain a health and safety management system that meets established provincial standards. The COR process requires employers to develop and implement a health and safety program that meets provincial standards. This process results in improved worker safety, reduced costs due to lost productivity, replacement worker training, property damage and incident investigation as well as reducing legal risk exposure.
This course is designed to assist employers in understanding the audit process with an emphasis on the Enform Audit Protocol and will provide students with information on:
- The difference between audits and inspections.
- Certifying partners.
- Internal maintenance audits vs. external certification audits.
- Audit elements, requirements and guidelines.
- Scoring.
- Action plans.
